When the Ravaging infects her sister Charlotte, who is also her closest friend, Cora launches into a desperate race against time to create a cure. As the illness takes hold of Charlotte, Cora must battle her own grief and fight to survive while trying to save the person she loves most.
Zahra Layland is a young actress whos began acting since she was three years old on a playful family film set. She has since built a foundation in Midwest independent film, appearing in several short films. Festival audiences will know her from The Ravaging short, where her performance as Cora won her the award for Best Youth Actress at Z-Fest. Zahra is looking forward to bringing Cora back to life, exploring the deeper layers of an older, more seasoned version of the character.
